Also, read this discussion with AI on a video of Dr. John Lennox talking about evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He explains why the disciple, John, on entering the tomb immediately believed that Jesus had risen.

There is plenty of other evidence, including the eye witnesses who saw the resurrected Jesus. The conversions of extreme skeptics or even enemies to followers of Jesus, who proclaimed after encountering the risen Jesus that Jesus is Lord! The martyrdom of the disciples, who knew it was true because they actually saw Jesus and talked to him before and after the crucifixion. The millions of early Christians persecuted and martyred for their faith by the Romans.

And today we still see evidence of Jesus working and transforming lives, through healings and other miracles performed in the name of Jesus!

However, for those with faith, the Shroud and other evidence is important but not essential. Miracles, like the resurrection and healings happen when God intervenes temporarily to alter the natural laws of the universe. God is the eternal creator, the ground of all being, who is unbounded and unlimited by space and time. God also is a personal God, who loves us and desires relationship with each of us through the persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We can never fully understand God, because if we did we would become greater than God. There will always be mystery, love and hope.

For some people evidence is never enough, they view miracles as impossible, because they are non-normal behaviour. Or they experience a cognitive dissonance or, they simply don’t want to believe in the evidence, as it could mean they need to change their behaviour and how they live. And miracles go against a narrow worldview, which is usually based on naturalism, materialism or scientism.

Against that, there are many thinkers and top scientists who do believe in God and the possibility of miracles! A lot depends on one’s own experience of life and the willingness to change as new evidence and experiences come to us. It is wise to keep an open mind and do your own research.
