Suffering and sin

God's perfect justice Created with Grok

Discover the true, loving and merciful character of God. And, how God deals with the issues of suffering and sin, death, free will, and evil in the world. You might be surprised to learn that God’s forgiving and merciful justice in the Bible is actually something that most people would like to have today! There are many examples of God’s perfect justice in the Old Testament, as well as the New Testament.

Learn more about the difficult issue of suffering and sin, death and evil in the world and how it points to Jesus (God) suffering on the cross for us. Some ask, if God is so loving and powerful, why does he not eliminate all evil, suffering and death? He will, but our loving, merciful, holy God wants to save as many souls as possible from evil and sin, before we are judged in the afterlife.

If God were to eliminate all sinners and evil doers today, most of us would not survive to see heaven. God hates sin but loves the sinner. In his mercy, God gives us both time to repent and amazing grace through Jesus.

When we open the door to let Jesus into our life, we have certainty in our salvation. Because only Jesus is perfect, holy and meets the standard required. On the cross, he heroically paid the price for you, me, anyone who wants to accept his sacrificial gift of divine selfless love.

After the disciples witnessed Jesus resurrected from death, they realised that Jesus really is God! And that this was God on the cross, willingly taking the punishment that is due to every sinner in this conscious, spiritual, moral universe. Suffering and sin. A universe of moral justice, where what goes around, comes around, if not in this life, then in the next.

So that by accepting this amazing gift of Jesus, by giving our heart to Jesus, we can be forgiven and our spiritual, moral debts completely wiped clean. Putting us on the path of freedom, peace, joy, as we go deeper into God’s river of the water of life, clear as crystal.

There is a but. Our free will means that each one of us needs to make that fundamental, transformative choice ourselves in this lifetime!
